Probably one of the most inspiring locations for any writing retreat anywhere - an elegant, century-old French chateau facing Canigou, a sacred mountain in the scenic southwest region of Pyrénées Orientales, an hour from the Spanish border.
All participants stay together in single, ensuite rooms with breakfast in the family owned, boutique chateau Villa Lafabregue and relax in its beautiful private gardens, with the charming town of Prades and its lively markets, cafes and restaurants, a mere five-minute walk away.
Our dedicated writing retreat here focusing on both fiction and creative nonfiction, including memoir, is led by experienced international authors and tutors.
The week-long retreat also features various cultural tours past sweeping vineyards, aromatic fruit orchards and picturesque lakes and hills to other charming local towns for classic French-style dining experiences, as well as visits to intriguing landscapes shaped by Mother Nature over millions of years including stunning red sandstone sculptures known as ‘Les Orgues.’
Exclusive evening entertainment is also provided for participants including an exciting performance by a Catalan dance troupe dressed in colorful traditional costumes and a lively singalong evening with talented musicians.

As our week-long retreats are bespoke, we can only host a limited number of participants on each retreat, so if you are interested, we advise you to sign up now to avoid disappointment.
Due to ever-increasing popularity, acceptance on our retreats is not just on a first-come, first-served basis. Just as important is your response to a special application questionnaire we will send you. That's why payments are ONLY accepted from participants AFTER selection has been confirmed.
Price per person for one week-long session - 2,650 Euro* (excluding transfer travel costs to and from retreat location).
Participation package will include: accommodation in single, en-suite rooms for six nights, breakfast, workshops, guest author appearances, diverse activities and excursions to awaken inspiration, and transport (only related to excursions), three lunches, welcome food and drinks evening event and similar ‘see you soon’ good-bye event.
